  Legal Environment of Sport and Recreation

  This course includes a basic introduction to concepts and issues dealing with legal concerns in recreation and sport in contemporary society. In addition, case studies are utilized to examine a mileu issues in tort law, statutory and administrative law and, contract law.

IV. Other Course Requirements - 13 credit hours

Students in Sport Management will complete six (6) credit hours of restricted electives from the areas of Human Performance and Recreation or Mass Communication depending on their field of interest. Students will enroll in a total of four (4) hours of Honors Thesis to develop and complete the requirement of a senior project or thesis. Additionally, students will complete three (3) hours of free electives.
