  The historical and philosophical foundations of play and recreation are emphasized in depth. Attention is given to the development of a philosophy of life that includes constructive use of leisure time.

III. Other Course Requirements - 16 credit hours

Students in Human Performance and Recreation will enroll in a total of four (4) hours of Honors Thesis to develop and complete the requirement of a senior project or thesis. Additionally, students will complete twelve (12) hours of free electives.
