The Call Me MISTER program is designed to provide academic and financial support
to males who are interested in pursuing careers in teaching. Claflin
University Call Me MISTER Scholars are required to meet all of the requirements
of a teacher education program at Claflin University. Program participants agree
to take part in periodic meetings, attend professional development activities, and
to represent the program as deemed necessary. All of the Claflin University Call
Me MISTER scholars who have graduated from the program are gainfully employed in
the public schools of South Carolina. Even though they are first year teachers,
Claflin University Call Me MISTER scholars are sought after for their passion for
education and their ability to make a difference in the lives of the children of
South Carolina. If you are interested in pursuing a challenging career in teaching,
