Students study the fundamental concepts of child development as they relate to the basic theories and principles underlying early child-hood curriculum planning and teaching. Students explore a variety of curriculum alternatives appropriate for infants, toddlers, preschool, kindergarten, and primary school children, which will meet the needs of children from diverse backgrounds. Field experience required.
